At Atlantic Coastal Therapy, I provide a safe setting intended to make it easier for people to fully experience and express their feelings while gaining clarity and insight without shame or self-judgment. My approach to therapy establishes a collaborative environment to process through problems and feelings and receive authentic feedback that can bring about positive changes. The practice also strives to provide patients with the tools to live fully in the present moment and learn how to gain awareness of, and learn to accept, their emotions. Developing these skills allows one to better manage their response to distressing situations.
Atlantic Coastal Therapy's pledge is to be a compassionate place for hope and healing while contributing to the overall health and well-being of the community by providing the best care through a client-centered, integrated clinical practice that emphasizes education. Ideally, patients receive guidance and support that serves to remove obstacles by helping patients remain strong, centered and sound.
Atlantic Coastal Therapy utilizes cognitive behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as needed. I conduct therapy sessions in person as well as via phone and Skype, and I work side-by-side with clients to give them a safe place to heal and grow.
